Design Principles

We pride ourselves in our unsurpassed reputation with a large following of repeat customers. Our design team is highly qualified, and hand-picked by the owner. Nothing leaves our shop without the scrutinizing eye of our quality control team. We do not use a lot of "filler" flowers, but rather design on the principle that we want to see the high-end focals in a new light, and enjoy their beauty for what they are. We do not stock baby’s breath, or leather-leaf fern. Our designs are usually more on the compact, lush side. Our modern interpretations mix happily with traditional design ideas, from the simplest to the grandest of designs. We can create classic arrangements, elegant country-inspired designs, tropical fantasy vibrancy, arrangements of modern influence and en masse arrangement designs. Our exquisite Bonny Doon Posies™ are sculpted with precision into lovely circular bouquets of flowers and botanicals.

About the Owner

Teresa Sabankaya began her floral career in 1999, when after her garden became overwhelmed with gorgeous organic blooms, she decided to share the bounty by offering flowers and floral design for wedding and events. Upon discovering that gardening, botany, and horticulture were truly her passion, her floral design business was born. "I love the fact that I can grow something from seed, nurture it, watch it grow and flourish, then harvest, and use it in a unique, creative way that makes someone appreciate it in a totally new way. It’s so rewarding".
